About Systango
Systango Technologies Limited (NSE: SYSTANGO) is a digital engineering company helping businesses build and scale digital products and technology solutions across AI/GenAI, Data, Cloud, Product Engineering and Digital Transformation.
As we continue strengthening our presence in the UK market, we are looking to build a strong and relevant London technology leadership community through curated events, meaningful conversations and executive relationships.
About the Role
We are looking for a London-based, part-time/fractional Tech Community & Events Lead to build and grow Systango's technology leadership community in London.
This is not a traditional event-management role.
The role is about building a community around relevant technology topics, bringing the right people together, creating meaningful conversations and developing relationships before, during and after each event.
You will own the journey from:
Content & topic strategy → Community building → Audience development → Curated event → Post-event engagement
The initial objective is to host approximately 2 curated events per month, such as executive breakfasts, lunches and invite-only roundtables, typically resulting in 5–10 highly relevant participants per event.
Key Responsibilities
Community & Audience Building
- Build and continuously grow a relevant network of London-based technology and business leaders.
- Identify and engage CTOs, CIOs, CDOs, Heads of AI/Data, VP Engineering, Product leaders, Founders and other senior decision-makers.
- Build relationships with technology communities, industry groups, partners and ecosystem organisations.
- Develop targeted outreach strategies to attract the right audience, whether through an existing network, direct outreach, partnerships, communities or other channels.
- Maintain and grow an organised database of relevant technology contacts and relationships.
Content & Thought Leadership
- Develop compelling discussion themes around AI, GenAI, Data, Cloud, Product Engineering and Digital Transformation.
- Identify topics and industry conversations that will genuinely interest senior technology leaders.
- Develop supporting content, invitations and communications to create interest and engagement around each event.
- Help position Systango as a credible participant in relevant technology conversations.
Event Strategy & Execution
- Plan and execute curated executive breakfasts, lunches, roundtables and private networking events.
- Build highly targeted attendee lists based on seniority, company, industry relevance and discussion topic.
- Personally engage prospective attendees and drive confirmations.
- Identify and coordinate speakers, moderators, partners and facilitators where required.
- Manage event logistics including venue coordination, invitations, confirmations and on-the-day execution.
- Ensure every event delivers a high-quality and relevant experience rather than simply maximising attendance.
Post-Event Community & Engagement
- Maintain relationships with attendees beyond the event.
- Facilitate relevant introductions and continued conversations.
- Work with Systango's Sales and Leadership teams on meaningful follow-up.
- Identify opportunities for future events, partnerships and community initiatives.
- Build an ongoing community rather than treating each event as a standalone activity.
Measurement & Improvement
- Track attendee quality, engagement, community growth and event performance.
- Monitor participation from target companies and personas.
- Identify business-development opportunities influenced by the community over time.
- Continuously improve event formats, topics, outreach and engagement strategies based on results.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in technology events, community building, executive networking, partnerships, B2B marketing, field marketing or a related area.
- Demonstrated experience building or growing a professional/technology community.
- Demonstrated experience organising and hosting curated events, roundtables, breakfasts, lunches, private dinners or technology meetups.
- Strong understanding of the London technology ecosystem.
- Experience engaging senior technology or business audiences.
- Background in AI, SaaS, Technology, FinTech, Digital Transformation, Consulting or IT Services is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to develop relevant content and discussion themes for senior audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple activities.
- Commercial mindset and understanding of how communities and events can contribute to relationships, partnerships and business development.
- Comfortable working independently in a part-time/fractional capacity.
What Would Make You Stand Out
- An existing network of CTOs, CIOs, AI/Data, Engineering, Product leaders or Founders in London.
- Alternatively, a proven ability to build the right audience through targeted outreach, partnerships and community engagement.
- Experience working with technology/AI/SaaS communities or companies.
- Experience creating invite-only, highly curated executive events rather than primarily large-scale conferences.
- Experience working with senior technology decision-makers around topics such as AI, GenAI, Data, Cloud or Digital Transformation.
- Experience working in a freelance, consulting or fractional capacity.
- A track record of turning events into long-term community relationships and meaningful business conversations.
How Success Will Be Measured
During the initial phase, success will be measured through:
- Approximately 2 curated events per month.
- Approximately 15–20 highly targeted invitations per event, resulting in 5–10 relevant attendees.
- Quality and seniority of attendees.
- Representation from Systango's target companies, sectors and personas.
- Growth and engagement of the London technology community.
- Quality of post-event relationships and introductions.
- Partnerships and ecosystem relationships developed.
- Business-development opportunities influenced or generated over time.
Engagement & Location
Engagement: Part-Time / Fractional
Location: London, UK
Working Model: Flexible, with a strong focus on London ecosystem engagement, relationship building and events.
Ideal Candidate in One Line
A London-based technology community builder who can develop the right audience, create meaningful conversations and turn curated events into long-term executive relationships — not simply an event organiser.
